Best caravan park I have ever been to
Haven't been to the caravan park but Calembeen lake is a gorgeous free spot to spend the day. It's small and I would pretty much call it a dam but the water is reasonably clean albeit murky from the mud and it's refreshing and cool on a hot day. There's a diving tower with two heights to choose from for those who like a little excitement and there's a BBQ hot plate so meals are easy to do. Toilets are located nearby with taps to fill up water. There's an enclosed chlorinated kids paddling pool for the little ones which is awesome and a fenced shallow section in the lake for the bigger kids who still aren't confident in the water. It's a great child and dog friendly place with lots of shaded parking.
Nice caravan park near lake. Short walk in to town. Lovely old buildings. Great spot to visit and to explore surrounding towns. Close to Ballarat, Daylesford, Malden and Cline's. Clean amenities, lots of lanes sites and friendly operators.They also take pets. Market at weekend well worth the visit.
Nice caravan park, beaut trees, leisurely stroll to town and great walk around lakes directly behind park. Very well priced for location. Only 3 stars, mainly because old part of park up back spoils.
